Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Cantora Design ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares information when you use the WhoFake mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account with your real name, email address or phone number to play.
- Game data you enter: player nicknames, room codes, word categories, custom words and in-game choices. For online rooms this data is stored temporarily so that players in the same room can play together.
- Anonymous identifiers: an anonymous user ID generated by Firebase Authentication, the advertising ID (Google Advertising ID) and app instance identifiers.
- Device and usage information: device model, operating system version, language, app version, IP address, crash/diagnostic data and how you interact with the App (for example, screens viewed and features used).
- Purchase information: when you buy a subscription or in-app product, the payment is processed by Google Play. We receive only the purchase status and order/token information needed to unlock premium features. We never receive your card or payment details.
- AI generation input: if you use the AI word/category generation feature, the text prompt you enter is sent to our backend and AI service provider to produce the result.
2. How we use information
- To provide and operate the game, including online multiplayer rooms.
- To unlock and restore premium features you purchased.
- To show advertising, including personalized ads where you have given consent.
- To analyze usage, measure ad performance, fix bugs and improve the App.
- To configure features remotely and prevent abuse, fraud and misuse.
3. Third-party services
The App uses third-party services that may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies:
- Google Play Services & Google Play Billing – policies.google.com/privacy
- Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Realtime Database, Remote Config) – firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob and its mediation partners (such as Meta Audience Network, Pangle, Mintegral, AppLovin, Unity Ads, IronSource, Liftoff/Vungle, InMobi, Chartboost and others) – AdMob partner list
Advertising partners may use the advertising ID, IP address and device information to deliver, personalize and measure ads.
4. Your choices and consent
- Ad consent: users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) on first launch and can change their choice later from the App's settings.
- Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings (Settings › Google › Ads).
- Remove ads: premium subscribers do not see ads.
- Notifications: you can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.
5. Data retention and deletion
Online room data is kept only as long as needed for the game session and is then removed. Other information is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. You can request deletion of data associated with your anonymous ID by contacting us at the email below; uninstalling the App also stops all further collection.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. We do not sell your personal information for money. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
